Linux Platforms  
   
For customers who require Linux run-time capabilities, we offer Wind River General Purpose Platform, Platform for Consumer Devices, and Platform for Network Equipment. General Purpose Platform and Platform for Consumer Devices are based on a standard Linux kernel 2.6 distribution and have been optimized for size and performance. Platform for Network Equipment has been designed for high availability and Carrier Grade Linux characteristics. All three of our Linux distributions combine a high-performance, preemptible kernel environment with powerful networking, networking applications, file systems, management, and security features. Each platform also includes the Wind River Workbench development suite, professional services and training, and worldwide technical support.
